2011 Rama Navami and Hindu wedding organize by PHP and HRF, Pakistan

By Mohammad S.Solanki (Executive Editor)

 (Photo : Ram Navami (RamNomi) - April 12th 2011)

Karachi – Ram Navami (RamNomi) is the birthday of Lord Ram. This year (2011) Ram Navami will be celebrated on April 12th. It is the 9th day of the Hindu calender and coincides with the last day of Navaratras.

The day begins with the prayers dedictated to Sun. It is celebrated with the procession of Ram Nomi, in which people are dressed as Lord Ram, Sita, Laxman and Hanuman whereas others follow them dressed like Ram’s soldiers. Lord Ram is seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu and is known as the God of peace and prosperity.

Many known figures in India are giving their greetings on RamNavami. Amitabh Bachchan aka Big B blogged his greeting: “Ram Navmi ke paavan avsar pe aap sab ko hardik shubhkamanayein .. sneh, shraddha, samriddhi aur mangalmay jeevan ..!”

Lord Ram was born to the King Dasharatha and Queen Kausalya of Ayodhya. Sri Ram Navami also marks the beginning of summer because the sun starts moving nearer to the northern Hemisphere. Ram is also known as Raghupati, Raghunatha and the prefix ‘Raghu’ refers to Sun.

Note by Editorial : Protecting Pakistan's Hindus is moral and religious obligation of Hindus around world. Because Hindus in Pakistan are indigenous community with roots to Indus Valley Civilization. To this day the temples that Pakistanis destroyed (mostly in Punjab and Sindh around 1,000) in 1992 in response to the destruction of the Babri mosque in India have not been restored. They have also suffered grievously since the founding of the nation in 1947.

“Every month a Hindu family leaves for neighboring India. Insecurity, killings, kidnappings and forcible conversion of women to Islam are the major causes,” said Jaipal Chabria, a Hindu politician in Pakistan.

The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) says that every year about 300 Hindu girls are abducted and converted to Islam against their will in Sindh province alone.

Pakistan's founder, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, is reported to have said in 1947: "In due course of time Hindus will cease to be Hindus and Muslims will cease to be Muslims - not in a religious sense for that is the personal faith of an individual- but in a political sense as citizens of one state." Therefore a cultural and institutional marginalisation of Hindus in Pakistan is a travesty of human dignity and freedom of Pakistan's own founding principles that its Hindus have suffered so grossly.

Introduction : Hare Rama Foundation (HRF) of Pakistan is non-Government & non-profit Organization, registered under Society Act (1860) with Government of Pakistan, Working for the development of the poor and deserving people of Pakistan who aim to contribute their practical services to uplift and develop the whole community.

HRF is working for the Hindus and Scheduled Caste (SC) Hindus rights, Women rights, Interfaith Harmony & Educational Improvements in rural areas without any discrimination of race.

Appeal for donations : Hindus in Pakistan are not just a marginalised section but a community which is also very vulnerable to persecution and conversion. There is agent need to arrange mass Hindu wedding for poor Hindus in Pakistan before a third party takes advantage.

We will really appreciate if anyone can help us in this regard, Contact us or give online donation at our blog -

Introduction : Holi is a spring religious festival celebrated by Hindus worldwide.

The main day, Holi, also known as Dhuli Vandana in Sanskrit, also Dhulheti, Dhulandi or Dhulendi, is celebrated by people throwing coloured powder and coloured water at each other. Bonfires are lit the day before, also known as Holika Dahan (burning of Holika) or Chhoti Holi (little Holi). The bonfires are lit in memory of the miraculous escape that young Prahlad accomplished when Demoness Holika, sister of Hiranyakashipu, carried him into the fire. Holika was burnt but Prahlad, a staunch devotee of god Vishnu, escaped without any injuries due to his unshakable devotion.

It has been renamed customarily amid last 5000 years, first available (on record) name was AROR or ALOR, and then it became City of Pattan, Phul Wada, Noshehra and now Rahim Yar Khan

Signed The Petition "Help us secure the release of a revered Hindu leader in Pakistan"

(Photo : Garji 82, the abducted Hindu spiritual leader in Balochistan, Pakistan)

Namasty,

Please signed the petition "Help us secure the release of a revered Hindu leader in Pakistan" and wanted to see if you could help by adding your name.

Our goal is to reach 100 signatures and we need more support. You can read more and sign the petition here:

http://www.change.org/petitions/help-us-secure-the-release-of-a-revered-hindu-leader-in-pakistan?share_source=share-petition_em&ue=sei

Thanks!

OVERVIEW

Lakki Chand Garji is a revered Hindu leader from Balochistan province in Pakistan. He is one of the most revered and respected Hindu leaders both nationally and internationally. He was kidnapped by a gang of armed men on December 21st, 2010. He is yet to be recovered despite both local and provincial gubernatorial efforts.

Sri Garji's kidnapping demonstrates the vulnerable state of minorities in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Even in Balochistan, with its secular and tolerant history, Hindu businesspeople and religious leaders have been targeted for murders, kidnapping, and ransom. Many Hindu families have fled the area or applied for asylum in India. Despite protests by local groups, the government has demonstrated its inability to protect the Hindu population both in Balochistan and elsewhere in Pakistan.

PETITIONING

  • Pakistani Ambassador to the United States(Ambassador Haqqani)
    • USCIRF(Leonard Leo)
      • President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan(President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan)

STARTED BY Pakistan Hindu Post

PETITION LETTER

Secure the timely release Sri Garji

Greetings,

We, the petitioners, seek the timely release of Sri Garji. He was kidnapped by armed robbers 2 months ago in Balochistan in Pakistan. He is one of the most revered and influential Hindu leaders in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and his kidnapping highlights the vulnerable state of minorities there. Hindus are frequently the target of armed robberies, often for ransom, as well as kidnapping. Local authority intervention has been quite lacking, and families often have to pay hefty sums of ransom for their release. So far, the Mandir which Sri Garji belongs to has not received any request for ransom, indicating that Sri Garji may have been targeted because he was a Hindu leader.

While this issue is very difficult to fathom, it only augments the difficulties faced by Hindus in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Without proper gubernatorial support, provision for education,or proper security, the Hindu minority is quickly disappearing. By recovering Sri Garji, the government can demonstrate its commitment to the security and spiritual well being of the Hindu community.

We call upon the government to:

1) Recover Sri Garji and allow him to resume his duties at Kali Mandir
2) Employ a commission to look into the kidnapping/ransom/killings of local Hindu businesspeople and religious leaders and work with the Hindu community on solutions
3) Catch the perpetrators and ensure maximum sentences per the Pakistan Penal Code.

We encourage the government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Balochistan government to catch the perpetrators, recover Sri Garji, and send a message of zero-tolerance for crimes against women and minorities.

[Your name]

NOTE : Mr.Kailash Kumar, a  PHP Balochistan says , Maharaj Lakki Chand Garji a Hindu spiritual leader  who has been kidnapped 2 months ago in Balochistan, There is Rs 3 crores Pakistani rupees in ransom demanded by his kidnapper for his safe release or else he has to convert into Islam or get kill. This is the way Hindus are tortured in Balochistan and rest of Pakistan nowdays.

Maha Shivratri at Mansera (NWFP) by Rajesh Pandit and PHP, Pakistan

By Rajesh Pandit (PHP Islamabad)

(Photo : 2011 Maha-Shivratri at Mansera (NWFP) by Rajesh Pandit and Pakistan Hindu Post (PHP), Pakistan)

Mansehra District (Urdu: مانسہرہ) is in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan, an area still unofficially known as the Northwest Frontier. Mansehra district and town are named after Man Singh, a leading general of Mughal Emperor Akbar. The Kaghan Valley area (a popular tourist destination) and the Karakoram Highway pass through the district.

Maha Shivaratri means "The Great Night of Siva". The night of Shiva falls on the eve of the New Moon. The night is symbolic of a condition prior to creation and refers to the chaos that existed before light. But this chaotic darkness is not a negative condition. It is pure consciousness without the pollution of knowledge. In the Buddha's terminology it is the Emptiness of Nirvana.

Every year during The Great Night of Shiva, Lord Shiva incarnates in the form of the Shiva Lingam. Maha Shivaratri is the prime time for every soul to get into the primordial consciousness of non-existence or Nirvana. One is required to keep vigil during the night in order to receive Shiva's grace and assistance.

As you keep vigil this night, you become aware of your life and karma. It is a great opportunity to connect with the divine formless form of Lord Shiva, the Lingam, who symbolizes 'all-auspiciousness', and to invite these energies in your life. In essence, Maha Shivaratri signifies the transition from the darkness of gloom and ignorance to the dawn of divine joy and knowledge.

Most people, most of the time, are under the influence of the ego. Now, when someone is driving under the influence, a policeman can pull that drunk driver over and measure the level of inebriation with a breathalyzer test. But what policeman has the authority to pull you over and give you an egolizer test? You are driving, living, acting and speaking under the influence of the ego.

Dear Gopinathji

Please find few pictures from interior Sindh province 2011 PHP and SRDSM Free Calender distribution in Pakistan.

Sindh's population is mainly Muslim (89%), and Sindh is also home to nearly all (93%) of Pakistan's Hindus, who form 10% of the province's population. A large number of Hindus migrated to India during the Partition of India in response to the influx of Muhajirs (Muslims) from India.

The Indus Valley civilization is the farthest visible outpost of archaeology in the abyss of prehistoric times. The Sindhis as a whole are composed of original descendants of an ancient population known as Sammaat, various sub-groups related to the Seraiki or Baloch origin are found in interior Sindh and to a lesser extent Sindhis of Pashtun or Punjabi origins.
